Gillian O'Shea

About the Artist

Gillian is a professionally trained Irish artist specialising in contemporary Watercolour. Gillian’s Watercolour work captures the beauty and intensity of familiar subjects using a semi-representational accessible style, to evoke intense emotional responses within the viewer. The work offers a fresh, vibrant and contemporary approach to the traditional and complex medium of Watercolour.
Gillian studied Fine Art in Dublin Institute of Technology and graduated with a first class honours degree in 2005. Since graduating, Gillian pursued an alternative career in Financial Services, qualifying as an accountant in 2009. In 2014, Gillian started painting in Watercolour, and in July 2015 she created ‘Dabble in Art’ to share her work and passion for Watercolour with others. In late 2016, Gillian decided to return to art and develop her artistic practice. Gillian currently lives and works in Dublin.
