Poet and novelist Frank Golden, a long time resident of North Clare(some
20 years), has been painting and occasionally showing work since his time in New
York in the 1980's.
Created in his studio in Ballyvaughan RADIANT COLLISIONS
is a collection of abstract paintings of a high colour voltage, with Golden using
raw pigments and a binding polymer to create layered and lucent works. The
paintings in RADIANT COLLISIONS are akin to music or dance, attempting as they
do to achieve a kind of kinetic balance, a valent joy in the patterned collision
of forms. Frank Golden's published works include: In
Partial Settlement, On Route To Leameneh, The Two Women Of Aganatz, The Interior
Act, and forthcoming from Salmon In Daily Accord.
