Andy Russell was brought up near the Bernard Leach Pottery, St. Ives in Cornwall and has lived in County Clare for the last 25 years.
He worked alongside Maria Hannon in Bunratty, Emanuel Cooper and Mo Jupp in London, and also Frank Boydon, California.
His main mentor being Mo Jupp who first introduced Andy to Raku techniques.More than 20 years of experience and research in technique of shaping, glazing and firing have made Andy a skilled artist able to combine imagination, originality and an intimate understanding of the materials
