The Inspiration for making seaweed pictures comes from my profund love of the Sea. As a child I spent a year on Inishmore, Aran Island, and it was then that my love affair with sea started. I love the sense of space tha the sea gives me; its sounds - from crashing breakers to gentle slurps; its infinitive variety of colours as it reflects the sky; its changing character according to the weather - turbolent, calm, angry, mirror-like, and above all I love what it yields up in the shallows and on the seashore - seaweed in stunning shades of lavander, bright green, rosepink, white and browns.
