Tony studied Life Drawing and Painting during the 80's in Dún Laoghaire College of Art and he is largely self taught as an artist.

Although often in awe of and respectful of traditional representational skills the liberation of the artist from the traditional role of recorder to him is something to be treasured. This is never a licence to splash paint at random as good work must be the end product of many rejected "solutions".

Born and raised in Cork City his work has been shown at the now defunct Oireachtas and is in many private collections.
